I've recently been mia lately 'cause of exams and stuff. However, ITS THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN! Summer!
Oh yeah ze much awaited summer is finally here. Well , I dont know about you guys, but this means more diys movies POSTS makeup and lotsa other fun stuff for me.

Winter Makeup Haul!

Salama, hi, hello, hola, aloha, bonjour, everyone!

So guess what, its haul time today!

And just so you know, this is my first haul so I'd really appreciate your feedback<3

So without further ado, lets get this (haul) party started!

I decided to run down to the makeup store to get some goodies since winter vacay is now over. What a beautiful end to the winter vacay I must admit. I got:

Etude house pressed powder in peach 

Etude house lipstick

Etude house concealer( yeah I guess you can see my obsession)

Mac studio fix pressed  powder

 So this was my haul you guys! Do give me your feedback by simply commenting below and tell me if you want more of hauls on my bloggie!

Since its been a while since I did any tag on my blog so I said to myself(ok,i talk to myself, im not the only one who does it:P): " hey olive oil, you havent done a post since the new year started. Maybe you shoulddo a tag? "
Why, yes I will! And since i was tagged in the Confessions of a Beauty Blogger tag, here it is!

1. How many hours a week do you spend writing/editing your posts?

For every post, it takes me like an hour or maybe an hour and a half to write it. If it involves research, and is long then try to take my time and finish in like 4-5 hours.

2. Are you a spender or saver?

I guess I'm a little of both.

3. When is it easiest for you to blog?

 Definitely on weekends. Cause Im not that caught up with school and homework and stuff.

4. What makes writing posts comfortable for you?

Because its when I can sip on my hot chocolate or eat my orange and express my love for writing, makeup, fashion, lifestyle and food all combined together with all you big bags of awesome. :)

5. What is your worst makeup/hair habit?

I'm lazy when it comes to hair brushing. I don't wash my makeup brushes as regularly as I should and sometimes I'm too lazy tired to follow my skincare routine. -wow thats alot, Oliveoil!

6. What is one quote you wish the world would live by?
Lets just make a list:

7. How long do you spend getting ready everyday?

Well, it depends. If its for school, I'd take like 10-15 minutes. Otherwise, I take half an hour or up to an hour to get ready.

8. Who's your favorite blogger?

I dont have any particularly , although I think Stacey is a pretty awesome blogger there at Beautiful Solutions, do check it out!

9. Who is a blogger that you think deserves more followers that they actually have?

Ok, this ones a toughie. I guess every single blogger. period.

10. What is one thing you are excited about in the upcoming year?

My birthday.Yayyyyy!!!!

11.What has been your most favorite blogging moment?

I think every milestone, more people becoming a lovely here at strokesofsunshine! And whenever i get beautiful responses by you guys on account of my posts!

12. How long does it take for you to prepare for a post?

Sometimes it takes me longer to prepare for post than actually write it! Like ranging from a half hour to 1-2 hours max.

13. Are you wearing jeans/skirt right now or are you wearing pajama bottoms?

I'm, as a matter of fact wearing my favorite polka dotted PJ's!

14. What are you most proud of in your life?

I am proud of my family and my BLOG!

3.2,1...hello 2014!

salama, hi, hello, hola, aloha, bonjour Lovely readers!
Since it is the holiday season and pretty much the end of 2013(wow it feels weird to say that) I decided to write a post.
Starting off, 2013 was a bit boring and a bit plain...initially. But little did I know, it was to be a remarkable year that changed my life. I had no idea that such huge beautiful things could occur. 2013 played a major part in me growing spiritually, mentally and in all sorts of ways. I learnt a lot this year. I'm not just saying that you guys but honestly I did.
I also learnt to have positive attitude(alhamdullilah:)) which I think we all should. Being a teen, (ah well we all know the teenage drama) it is crucial to alter and adjust your attitude. You can practically solve and reduce half your problems via the help of your attitude. Not being whiny, cranky, not overthinking, not critisizing yourself and most importantly believing in yourself.
2013, oh what do I say? You have been indeed a miraculous year, telling that all the things that happen in  life are there for a reason. Even if one is going through a tough time, it'll all lead to GOOD. Just believe in God, and your true self. Miracles happened(mashaAllah) and I couldn't be more thankful. I realised that whatever happens, is always for the best :)
Let's hope to make 2014 better than 2013 Inshallah!
Moving on, the answers to the big questions everyone asks you before the new year:
What are your new years resolutions?
Well, mine are as follows:

I think its important for us to actually take our resolutions seriously and try to follow and incorporate that into our lives and NEVER, EVER, EVER let anyone bring us down

Having said that, I'll wrap up ze last post of 2013 with hope and prayers for a better, peaceful and fun year ahead in all our lives and a post-ful one(i know that's not a real word,ah well) blogo-spherically:)

It's that time of the year again! Movies, blankees, duvets, coffee(actually, hot chocolate for me- i dont seemto love coffee*dont judge mee*, chocolate, marshmallows,fuzzy socks, books, magazines, and ooh, ze freedom from mid terms.

I think it needless to explain my hibernation from the blogosphere since I clearly stated the cause above. 2013 just ended in a poof and honestly, i kinda want the summer to come back. Anyways, your oliveoil made donuts yesterday which were finished up by the family in pretty much seconds. (viva la mom and viva la moms recipes) ;)

I will soon, inshaAllah post my verdicts on ze year 2013 and until then Bubyee!

 

Fall or Foe + Yay

Now that summer has actually ended(-sigh) and its now fall time. Unlike most of the people, I'm not a crazy wooo gaga fan of fall. Honestly speaking, I don't really like it at all. Except for the new trends and the dark color awakening. Particularly because of the dry, dusty and not-hot-not-cold weather. I kinda makes me realise that winter, the time for couch potato-ing, hot chocolate with marshmallows in your new mug, a gazzilion of movies and relaxing in you favorite blankee and your 10day, next to nil winter holidays is STILL not here.
Anyways, Eid is tomorrow, so YAAAYYYY!!! You can read  HS'spost on Eid incase you've missed it.
